The tormented

I feel the eyes all around
Burning deep into me
Peering past every wall
What is it they see
The tormented dig
They scratch and claw
Until finally
They see it all
My head splits
As I begin to scream
Wanting it to stop
Praying it's all a dream
They find the memories
I've hid all these years
No longer able
To fight back the tears
The shadows around
Now taking shape
My memories dance
Across the landscape
I scream for them to go
To release me
These memories are not
For anyone else to see
Released from the gaze
I fall to the floor
Never the wiser
To what else lies in store
